Baldy and the Bears

     In 2 Kings 3:23, some young lads mocked Elisha and said,  “Go up, you bald head; go up, you bald head!”  The Bible says he cursed them in the name of the Lord and two female bears came out of the woods and tore up 42 of those lads.  That’s violent!

     Words have power and penalties.  James wondered in chapter three verse nine how we could bless the Lord and curse men made in God’s likeness.  “From the same mouth come forth blessing and cursing.  My brethren, these things ought not to be this way.” (verse 10).

     “Lord, guard my words and help me to have a Christ-like attitude and be patient knowing I can endure today’s trials because Christ endured the trials of the Cross just for me.  In His Name, Amen.”
